This Platform Portal is designed to open a space where cooperation on Science and Technology is feasible. The initial objective was to implement the activities of the INCONet EULARINET and the ERANet EULANEST like a common gate. Every Square, plaza, praça o piazza provides plenty space for every initiative between LAT and EU.

EULARINET

EULARINET (Co-ordinating Latin America Research and Innovation NETworks) aim is strengthening the EU - LA Knowledge Area" and its main goal is to strengthen bi-regional dialogue on S&T; between EU Member States (MS), Associated States (AS) and Latin American Partner Countries (LAPC) at policy, programme and institutional (research entities) level. EULARINET will establish a co-ordination platform bringing together the key EU and LA policy makers and programme managers, as well as representatives of research entities, universities and the private sector, eminent researchers and representatives of the civil society, to set up dialogue fora at different levels, leading to the identification of S&T; policies and priorities and defining specific activities to promote, support and stimulate participation of LA researchers in FP7 and to strengthen international S&T; cooperation. http://s2lat.eu/eularinet

EULANEST

The EULANEST project (European - Latin American Network for Science and Technology) intends to promote and co-ordinate research co-operation among EU Member States (MS) and Latin American countries (LAC). Through these activities EULANEST will contribute to the building of the European Research Area (ERA) and, particularly, to strengthening the international dimension of the ERA by co-ordinating bilateral programmes of research co-operation with Latin America, both within and between European countries. http://s2lat.eu/eulanest

The EU funded projects that have impact in Latin American Countries will have space to present their results ( Alcue Food, Food&Co;, Alcue Health, Elan2life, WINDS-LA & WINDS Caribean, MESA+, EULAKS etc).

Additionally, managing information within networks, produces a continuous organisational process in which Knowledge is generated, adapted and shared, and transferred to EU-Latin American S&T+I sector target groups and partners. Knowledge Management (KM) will allow S2LAT.EU Platform to explicitly enable and enhance the productivity of these activities and to leverage their value for the group as well as for individual members.
